Community Partner Events

Several times each school year, local restaurants show their support by hosting fundraising events for the Glencoe School Foundation. Each partner business chooses one day on which they'll donate a portion of their earnings to GSF. Not only is it a great way to generate money for the Foundation, it's the perfect opportunity to experience some of the best restaurants and shops in town! 

Mark your calendars for this year's Community Partner Days and plan to take the family out for a great meal! Encourage your friends, family and neighbors to join the fun, and please be sure to thank the businesses for supporting our school! 

Community Partner Events for 2009-10

November 10, 2009: Caldera Public House (6031 SE Stark) will host our first community partner event of the school year on Tuesday, November 10. There’s no school the next day so it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy dinner and drinks with your family and friends at this Mt. Tabor neighborhood favorite! Gift certificates and to-go orders placed on November 10 will benefit the Foundation, too!

November 13, 2009: Clever Cycles (908 SE Hawthorne) is donating 10% of their sales for the day to support the Foundation! If you haven't visited their shop, you're in for a real treat! They've got awesome bikes for every type of rider as well as accessories, clothes and more. Isn't it time you treated yourself to some Oregon-quality rain gear, a serious bike lock, a sturdy pannier or a super cute new helmet? Be sure to tell them thanks for supporting Glencoe while you're there! Refreshments will be served from 5 to 8 p.m.

April 17, 2010: Laughing Planet has generously offered to host a fundraiser for the Glencoe School Foundation at their SE Belmont location on Saturday, April 17. It’s very unusual for a restaurant to donate a percentage of sales on a weekend, but they're donating 20% of ALL SALES that day to us! Let’s show them how much we appreciate their support and head out in droves to eat their healthful, delicious food! They’re open from 11 AM to 10 PM, so stop in for lunch, dinner, snacks (they have smoothies and yummy baked goods!) and/or to buy Gift Cards for later use. This has the potential to be a huge fundraiser for us …please tell your friends, family and neighbors to eat at Laughing Planet on Belmont that day, too. See the menu at laughingplanetcafe.com.
